It all started when my mother and I were wandering through the bustling
bazaars of Jaipur. We were captivated by the beauty of traditional block
printing — a craft passed down through generations — yet we realised
that many of the vibrant Indian designs wouldn’t quite suit our own
English home.
On our return , I began sketching patterns inspired by English
gardens — designs that could bring a sense of calm and elegance while
preserving the soul of Indian craftsmanship. Those sketches became the
first step towards Maya H.
Then the work started to identify reliable suppliers with high standards of quality, production and delivery. Numerous trips to Jaipur followed as these relationships were forged and we started to sell our signature products back in England.
That signature style combines modern, garden-inspired prints with
traditional Indian block printing. Each design is hand-drawn, carved
onto wooden blocks, and then printed by skilled artisans — ensuring every
piece is unique.
From tablecloths, napkins and quilts to washbags and oven mitts, Maya
H brings a stunning slice of India into every room — where heritage and
modern living come together beautifully.
